Caregiver Duties

Bathing:
Bed / bath, or shower

Oral Hygiene:
Brushing and flossing

Dressing:
Assist in dressing

Meal Preparation
Prepare simple meals for the patient

Kitchen Cleaning:
Tidy up after meal preparation and use

Bathroom Cleaning:
Wash toilet, tub and basin

Bedroom Cleaning:
Dust and vacuum once a week
along with changing and cleaning the patient's linens

Care Providers can also assist with the patient's daily routine:

• Assist patient in walking and physical therapy exercise ordered by the patient's doctor or physical therapist
• Assist patient in toileting (if necessary)
• Run errands such as grocery shopping, doctors appointments, prescription pickup, etc.
